Confession: Ever since watching Living in Oblivion about a month ago, I have been hopelessly in love with Tom DiCillo. The guy realizes the majesty and talent that is Steve Buscemi, has a great surreal sense of humor akin to Charlie Kaufman (Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine, etc.), and makes thoroughly enjoyable satires.
So I’m going to sit back and enjoy the 4th of July by watching DiCillo rip apart what makes this country great: its fashion and entertainment industries. And I promise this will be the last vaguely intelligent thing I post today.
